Come sit with me awhile, my child asked of me,
For now hes five years old and longs for me to be,
By his side each day, and kissing him at night,
Before I know it hell be grown and not in daily sight.
Ill always have our bench, where we used to talk and rest,
Holding tender memories while he was in my nest.
