Cod & Capers was founded in 1984 by Stephen Gyland.  From the very start, they have been dedicated to offering the freshest and best quality seafood in Palm Beach County.  Having been a commercial fisherman with hopes of starting his own business, Steve had plenty of knowledge to bring to the company.  They are proud to say that they are still operated by many of their original employees - they are a family!

Their passion for fresh seafood did not remain a secret for long; soon, their little tiny Seafood Market started receiving requests for deliveries from local restaurants.  Today, their business consists of a complete wholesale department with a fleet of refrigerated trucks, an expanded retail market, and over 50 employees.  They also now employ a full-time Chef for their prepared food division and Café.  They have grown so much since 1984, but they still focus on quality... that will never change!
