Spend the morning BIRDING Mountain View Cemetary!
Stroll in a beautiful, park-like setting, and learn how to identify, attract and appreciate the avian friends who share our world.
We will meet at the fountain just inside the Piedmont Ave. entrance to Mountain View Cemetery (Oakland) to start our adventure in what is a beginning birder’s paradise.
Birding guide Dennis Olle (grandfather to LeConte kindergartener Olivia Ward) will introduce you to the bird life of this historic site with its rolling terrain, oak copses, and hidden lakes.
Birding level = Beginner (good for kids)
Good for one year starting July 1, 2018; tour to be arranged for mutually-convenient time (as guide travels).
4-6 participants (bring binoculars); educational materials provided.
Special Instructions
Birding tour to take place after July 1, 2018. Mutually convenient time to be arranged in advance, as tour guide lives in Florida, but travels to Berkeley 4-6 times each year.
Tours are for up to eight people, any combination of kids and adults. Kids under 6 should be accompanied by an adult.
