Description
Join us as we continue our amazing fun-filled journey exploring math ideas in the Science, Technology & Engineering fields with BRAND NEW ACTIVITIES. In our upcoming 2018 Spring session, we will be examining how math is used in Botany, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemistry & Biology. The students will learn the science behind hydroponics, the technology behind Elon Musks' innovations, how stem cells are used in genetic engineering, program new robots, design race cars, and much, much more!!
Weekly sessions are appropriate for Kindergarten - 9th grade. Students will work in groupings based on age and/or abilities. Sessions meet 2 hours once a week for 8 weeks. Focus will be helping students develop an understanding of how math is used in the STEM fields.
Using project based learning, ASTEME helps children find math in both the ordinary and the extraordinary. They work with students to help them become math explorers, using a wide variety of subjects such as music, art, science, computers, nature; they help students discover that math is everywhere, affecting all of us.

Items available for pickup at the Larchmont Charter Administrative Office, 444 N. Larchmont Blvd., #207, Los Angeles, CA 90004 on Tuesday, May 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
If you are not local or can not pick up your items on May 15, the item will be shipped to you at your expense unless you make alternate arrangements for pick up by emailing us at gala@larchmontcharter.org
Bidder is responsible for a shipping and handling fee (gift certificates will be shipped for free,) which will be added to the winning bid amount. Items will be shipped via UPS or USPS, and billed at standard industry rates.
