The Red Water Cafe was created to offer opportunities for residents and visitors on the Island of Hawaii to enjoy dining and catering of the finest cuisine. Whether it is our dining, catering or personal chef services, we are dedicated to pleasing our customers with creative multi-cultural dishes including Hawaii regional, Asian inspired and other cuisines. Over the last 7 years, Chef David just launched his tree to bar concept that explores Hawaii chocolate, the production, the Art and the Bar.

Chef David Abrahams passion for cooking started at the roots---- watching his mother in the kitchen-- "Cooking is a ritual, you have to be religious about flavor -- it must be impeccable."

Prior to graduating from the California Culinary Arts Academy (now Le Cordon Bleu) in 1995, his experience included Lead Line Cook at the Marriott Warner Center and Executive Chef at Sedona and La Pasta restaurants in California.

Upon Graduating, he proceeded to work as Lead Line Cook at the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel until an ad in the Los Angeles Times led him to a position at Merriman's in Waimea on the Big Island.

He then joined the culinary team at the Orchid Grille, proceeding to serve as Chef de Cuisine at Brown's Beach House, helping them earn their second Four-Diamond rating.

During this time, he founded the Hawaii Gourmet Society, a private chef/catering service which he still offers.
