BEAM DREAM SUMMER DAY
Weeklong Day Camp for Ages 7-10
July 9-August 31, 2018

What is Beam Dream Summer Day Camp? A “choose your own adventure” exploration into being an artist and designer!
What do you do at Beam Dream? You make projects and investigate craft!
Beam Center is a Brooklyn-based community of learning where artists guide young creators. Our hands-on programs in technology, imagination and craft help young people build their character, courage to think for themselves, and capacity for collaboration and invention.
Here are some examples of past projects: glass casting, giant pinhole cameras, voice-over acting and recording, kaleidoscope making, tin can lamps, circuit board etching, infomercial production, screen printing, mortis-and-tenon joints, solar motors, laser cut glasses, composing midi music, making blueberry jam, aluminum casting, sewing custom pants, making sandals and clogs, and designing a functional computer font.
Dates and Times: Weeklong camps July 9 - August 31, 9:00 AM-4:30 PM, Monday-Friday, with drop-off beginning at 8:00 AM and pick up until 5:30 PM included.
