Help preserve history! Staff have been working to catalog the ASHM’s collection of rare books and manuscripts, and several objects could use some extra support.

Our 1622 Swedish-language bible, for example, is a gem of the collection. Itself a pirated print made in a German city, this bible suggests Swedish dependency on publishers in the Hanseatic cities. Or how about our rare, first edition copies of Peter Kalm’s “Travels through North America” in Swedish—these books certainly look like they have done some intense traveling, and they could use acid-free boxes.
