Beginners will have a great opportunity to learn to surf from one of Santa Cruz's most respected surfers. Experienced surfers will have the opportunity to ask Savannah to advise on topics including; contest surfing, training, how to survive Mavericks and so on!

- Surf session 1.5 - 2 hours. All skill levels welcome!

Scotts Valley native, and Santa Cruz resident, Savannah Shaughnessy, is the
only female big wave surfer selected for the Titans of Mavericks competition’s
Round 2 draw.
She became the first woman to judge a Big Wave World Tour event at the
Mavericks Invitational contest on January 24th, 2014. Savannah went on to
compete in the second-ever women’s competition at the Big Wave World Tour
Nelscott Reef event, in Lincoln City, Oregon.
Savannah has been nominated for the prestigious Billabong XXL Big Wave
Awards – “Ride of the Year” and “Women’s Performance Awards” multiple
times.

Savannah graduated from UCSC with a B.S. in Biology and is now a
Registered Nurse at Stanford Medical Center.
