The dDresden style is always associated with wares bearing the blue crown mark first registered by Richard Klemm, Donath & Co., Oswald Lorenz, and Adolph Hamann in 1883 and the type of wares they produced.
The style they employed used a mixture of Meissen and Vienna flower and figure painting. Dresden porcelain refers more to an artistic movement than a particular porcelain company. Since up to 200 competing ceramic studios emerged under the Dresden umbrella, the porcelain produced in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, of which this is a fine example, is valued for the fine hand-painted pieces.
Height approximately 8 1/2 to 9 inches with lid. Diameter is approximately 6 inches
