Description
1 private yoga session (1 x 90 mins) by yoga instructor Ann-Mary Kay.
Location: Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn.
Ann-Mary teaches Vinyasa Flow and Restorative yoga. She is also a Reiki master. Reiki is an ancient Japanese energy healing art, that supports the natural energy flow of the body and creates a deep sense of relaxation and wellbeing. It works really well combined with Restorative Yoga.
Each session is carefully tailored for each student or group, for best possible health benefits, safety, and to help you achieve your personal goals.

VINYASA YOGA covers a broad range of yoga classes. This style is sometimes also called flow yoga, because of the smooth, fluid way that the poses (asanas) run together and become like a dance.
The breath is the anchor to the movement, as you flow from one pose to the next, in time with an inhale or an exhale.
The word Vinyasa can be translated as ‘arranging something in a special way’, (Nyasa means ‘to place’ and Vi means ‘in a special way’.)
‘As a well cut diamond has many facets, each reflecting a different color of light, so does the word Yoga, each facet reflecting a different shade of meaning and revealing different aspects of the entire range of human endeavour to win inner peace and happiness....Yoga is the method by which the restless mind is calmed and the energy directed into constructive channels’. ~B.K.S. Iyengar
RESTORATIVE YOGA
Restorative Yoga is the ultimate reset button. A fine art of doing nothing and fully letting go, which can be difficult for most of us. These individually tailored sessions in luxurious setups with bolsters, pillows, blankets, eye pillows, relaxing music, guided meditations, comfort and deep silence, will give you a chance to slow down, tune in and allow your body and mind a much needed break.
We work very hard in our lives, and while we may sleep, we rarely take time to rest. Restorative yoga poses help us learn to relax and rest deeply and completely.
During deep relaxation, all the organ systems of the body are benefited, and a few of the measurable results of deep relaxation are the reduction of blood pressure, serum triglycerides and blood sugar levels in the blood, the increase of the "good cholesterol" levels, as well as improvement in digestion, fertility, elimination, the reduction of muscle tension, insomnia and generalized fatigue.
