Private tour of the UN Headquarters in New York with Danish Ambassador to UN Ib Petersen 


The winners of this priceless experience will among other things tour the Security Council, General Assembly Hall and the Trusteeship Council, which was donated by Denmark in 1949, designed by Finn Juhl, and which recently was renovated in the spirit of the Danish design master.


The Headquarters of the United Nations is located in New York City, along the East River. When you pass through the gates of the United Nations visitor's entrance, you enter an international territory. This 18-acre site does not belong to just one country, but to all countries that have joined the Organization; currently, the United Nations has 193 Member States.


Ib Petersen has served as Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Denmark to the United Nations since 1 August 2013. Before taking up his this position, Ambassador Petersen served as State Secretary for Development Policy, of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, since 2009. Prior to this, he was State Secretary for Development Cooperation, Middle East, Africa, Asia, Latin America and the United Nations (2007-2009).
