Indulge in a tasting for 6-8 friends at Shire Breu Hous, a 7-barrel brewpub at The Stationery Factory in Dalton, MA. Take a behind-the-scenes tour with Shire owners and BCD alums Andrew Crane and Nick Whalen, who met at BCD in Middle School, and manager BCD parent and Down & Derby Co-Chair Ashley Junod.

Shire opened in August 2017 in the old Crane Stationery Factory, where they brew "beer that is worth the journey." 

The emphasis at Shire is on accessing many local ingredients, and sourcing locally whenever possible; malt from South Egremont, liquor from a few local distilleries, meats, cheeses and produce are also purchased from many different nearby farms, and even grow their own hops.
