After discovering and falling for the Hudson Valley, weekends initially just spent lisiting from New York City turned into an all-in move for owners Kristan and Kirby  Farmer. They bought a historic building in Hudson, NY in 2013, which was already  sperating as a boarding house, but the restaurant was vacant. After two seasons, they decided to close it down, do a full gut renovation and reopen as Wm. Farmer and Sons Boarding and Barroom.

Our cozy, coppery barroom and bustling restaurant is open at a variety of times throughout the week for brunch, lunch, happy hour and dinner, and features craft cocktails, light bites and a wide range of seasonal culinary offerings inspired by the bounties of local Hudson Valley farms. Not just farmers in name, we believe in supporting farmers and producers who share in our passion of growing and preparing the finest products imaginable. 

At Wm Farmer & Sons, our priority is to make sure you are smiling, comfortable and satisfied during your visit. Reservations are highly recommended for our dining room, but we always seat first-come, first-serve at our bar and lounge tables.
