Crispina says: “I make blankets from recycled wool and cashmere sweaters.  I machine wash and dry cashmere, wool, and natural fiber wool blend sweaters to arrive at a soft, scrumptiously full texture.  Shapes are carefully machine cut and sewn edge to edge in an inlaying process.  This construction technique provides a single plane that makes the blanket a single layer thick with two useable sides.  (I do put all the raw material seams on one side deeming that the ‘back’.)  It is sprinkled with cables and button plackets.  Fun sweater details are prolific. This throw is 5ft square and edged with gloriously soft and shimmery silk satin.”

Throws are nice on the back of the couch, or over your most comfortable chair.  They are nice for bed toppers too.  They add a layer of warmth and splash of color without the weight (or price tag) of a full bed-sized coverlet.
