Film and TV Casting Director, CSA and MFA in film from Columbia School of the Arts is offering a 45 minute on-camera audition coaching sessions. Sessions are ideal for kids ages 8 and up. Sessions will begin with a brief general sit down interview where I will ask a couple of questions to get a sense of your performance background and you can also ask me any industry questions and then we will get up on our feet and do a taping session, covering topics on auditioning for film and television projects such as what to wear, how to slate, where to look (what to do with my hands/body/movements), in addition to more in depth preparation of an audition scene including identifying tone and marking beats. A link of the final taped audition will be emailed afterwards and available for personal download. I can cater sessions to kids with or without professional experience as well as adults. If an actor/actress has material they'd like to work on vs. material I provide, that's also fine. I find it best to mirror professional auditions without parents present during the audition, though for coaching sessions, adults are welcome to join for the general interview (First 15 minutes) and step out for the taping portion (last 30 minutes). I have a large waiting room in my office, and/or drop off is okay.
