Located in the Falls Village Shopping Center at the intersection of Sandy Forks Road Falls of the Neuse Road. It opened on December 21, 1977 as the Fitzgerald Screening Rooms 1 & 2, and seated 300 (each auditorium having 150 seats). Martin Theatres acquired the Fitzgerald Screening Rooms after it closed in 1978, and renamed it the Falls Twin Theatres. Carmike acquired it in 1982 after Carmike bought out Martin Theatres. By 1989, the Falls Twin Theatres went from showing first-run features to becoming a second-run discount dollar house under Carmike Cinemas, who closed the Falls Twin Theatres in 1993.

The Falls Twin Theatres sat vacant for three years when it was converted into a cinema cafe, with updated projection and digital sound systems, opening in 1996 as the Raleighwood Cinema Grill. As of this day it is the highest rated movie theatre/sports bar restaurant in Raleigh.
