Description

In 2017, DIAVOLO appeared on America's Got Talent and made it to the top 10 finalists. In that same year, the company celebrated 25 years of performing under the direction of Jacques Heim.

This is an incredible opportunity for two lucky kids! France, our Los Feliz Campus Administrator, will take two students to a performance of DIAVOLO – Architecture in Motion at one of LA's great performing arts destinations, The Music Center on October 12, 13 or 14. These kids will have the chance to meet Artistic Director, Jacques Heim and the dancers, either before or after the show (TBD). They will also each recieve a DIAVOLO t-shirt as a souvenir. Finally, there is a chance to attend a tech rehearsal if they are interested.

About DIAVOLO and their performance...

Expanding the boundaries of what is considered to be dance, Diavolo/Architecture in Motion leaps, flies, spins and dances on a variety of commonplace items, creating powerful images reflective of the human condition. Using benches, doors or stairs, the company builds appreciation for movement by breaking down barriers to dance and creates a dance vocabulary based on everyday activities. Founded by Jacques Heim, Diavolo/Architecture in Motion is comprised of performers of varied abilities and training - dancers, gymnasts, rock climbers and actors. Through trust and collaboration, Diavolo/Architecture in Motion illustrates that teamwork is as essential in dance as it is in life.

"T.R.U.S.T." celebrates and explores this quintessential component of the Diavolo aesthetic. Dancers fly, fall, jump, catch and challenge their personal boundaries using structures such as doors, ladders and benches as the vehicles for expression their trust in one another.
