You and your guests (up to 10 people) will enjoy a fabulous dinner at the highly acclaimed Chez Panisse in Berkeley, known as one of the inspirations for the style of cooking known as California cuisine.

Oxbow's retiring Head of School Stephen Thomas and his wife Patricia Curtan have offered to 'host' this event and join the group as part of the 10 guests. Alternatively, if the winning bidder wants to use all 10 spots for their own guests, that is fine as well.

Launched by Alice Waters and partners in 1971, Alice and Chez Panisse are convinced that the best tasting food is organically and locally grown, and harvested in ways that are ecologically sound by people who are taking care of the land for future generations. The quest for such ingredients has always determined the cuisine.

As part of this culinary extravaganza, Patricia Curtan, the illustrator of many of Chez Panisse's menus and cookbooks throughout the restaurant's history, will also offer the winning bidder a signed copy of her book Menus for Chez Panisse.
