Description
Gratitude versus Everything. Dedicated to our children and our blessed time in France, we proudly introduce Promise Wine’s first Bordeaux-style Meritage blend, meaningfully called “the gratitude”. Our intent with this offering is to emulate the wonderful first growths of the Paulliac region. We spent years looking to source the right component fruit and are thrilled to finally have found all the pieces. This wine is comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot all from the Napa Valley. Launched with the 2014 vintage we continue to do an extremely limited release of this beauty to Reserve Members exclusively each year.
Steve and Jennifer McPherson donated this bottle of "Gratitude" wine in appreciation of Veterans for all they have given to our country.

Tasting Notes: The 2015 Gratitude is a profoundly concentrated and stunning offering. At first glance this wine has a deep dark inky veil that coats the glass. Wonderful aromas of currant, tobacco, cacao and the subtle perfume of white flowers emanate on the nose. This wine is a lush, rich beauty that unfolds slowly and effortlessly on the palate. An elegant textured mouthfeel helps provide a perfect canvas for an alluring complexity. The varietals blend seamlessly into a velvety modern. Flavors of ripe plum, black cherry, red raspberries and creme de cassis give way to beautiful hints of espresso, licorice and dried herbs. We could not be more excited about this new offering for PROMISE. This wine can be enjoyed for 20-25 years with proper cellaring.
