Item Number: 240
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
Catching a big striper on a fly rod is one of fly fishing's best experiences, and where better to make it happen than in our own East Bay "backyard", the California Delta. Here's what makes it a super day:
- Fly Fishing for either 1 or 2 fly fisherman
- Led by two very experienced local fly fishermen, Bill Gallogly and Craig Dennis
- Bill is a certified IFFF casting instructor, and both are expert at double hauling shooting heads to get into where the stripers reside
- They have a boat that "knows" where the stripers hang-out and can get there very quickly
- The day starts at Bethel Harbor
- Lunch and drinks provided
- Equipment, if required, can be provided
NOTE: THIS TRIP NEEDS TO BE TAKEN BY THE FOLLOWING DATES:
DEC 1, 2018 TO MAR 31, 2019 SOONER IS BETTER FOR STRIPER FISHING.
Special Instructions
Stripers are very aggressive fish, and will attack a fly with ferocity. Getting into a school of stripers can be a wild experience, with hits coming so fast that your arm gets tired. Most stripers are in the 1 to 8 pound range, but larger 9 -12 pound and larger are caught. Striper season goes year round but really gets going in Oct going through about February.
