Description
This gorgeous quilt was crafted and donated by Nancy Johnson, dedicated volunteer at Shadow Cats.
She says, "Traditionally all quilts should have a name, I’ve chosen to name my quilts after the Shadow Cats. The first time I came to the sanctuary Avery, the quiet giant slowiy and gently climbed into my lap and settled in. I knew at that moment there was something special going on here."

The “Avery” quilt is a traditional jelly roll race quilt with appliqued cats. This is a 60" x 48" quilt suitable for both hanging and cuddling beneath with a special fur baby. It’s made from quilting cotton and quilted with hearts and flowers. Quilts are meant to used, they wear well and can be washed often. Fading, wearing and time give them character.
Wash in cold water, gentle cycle. Line dry is traditional, but I must admit I use the dryer on low heat for all my quilts. The ball and the backing are red, so tossing a Shout Color Catcher in the washer with the quilt at least the 1st time would be a good idea to prevent color from bleeding.
Thank you for supporting Shadow cats"
The stitching on the back says, "Avery, for the purrs from the downtown cats. This quilt was lovingly stitched for the benefit of Shadow Cats.
