Description
Set aboard a steamship circa 1920 La Belle is the unlikely love story of the ship's coal stoker (Sam Stoker) and one of the vacationers on the ship (Lady Rose). When she takes refuge from a storm while on deck Rose finds herself in Sam's engine room far below. She is drawn to a myriad of trunks and treasures accumulated there, including objects of Sam's own creation and discovers that he has constructed the story of La Belle et la Bête in the world of the automata (figurines brought to life by the ingenuity of clockwork mechanics). She also knows the story Beauty and the Beast and soon joins him in the telling. They become friends, beautifully melding the real and fantasy worlds while playing the characters of Belle and the Beast, and beyond their control they fall in love. Like a giant toy containing moving gears, machines and a backdrop of a whimsical ship, the physical set is a kinetic and animated environment using over 100 special effects and large-scale puppetry to tell this magical tale.
This voucher is for four (4) tickets for the performance of La Belle on November 14, 2017. Voucher must be redeemed for tickets by visiting the ticket office at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa). Ticket office open from 12-6 daily. **Tickets are subject to availability; early reservation is encouraged.**
Special Instructions
Pick Up Info: This item will be ready to be picked up at Austin Creek School in Santa Rosa, CA on Friday, October 12, 2018, during the Walkathon, from either 2:30 to 3:30pm or 5:00 to 6:00pm at the Auction Pick-Up Booth. The Booth will not be open from 3:30 to 5:00 pm.
If you are unable to pick up your item on October 12th during these times, please contact the auction administrator at acpcauction@gmail.com by Monday, October 15, 2018. Items not picked up, or had alternate pick up arrangements made, will be donated back to the ACPC. Parents or an adult must be present to pick up auction items. Items will not be released to children.
Billing Info: Credit cards will automatically be billed at the close of the auction on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Please be sure your card does not expire or change during this time.
