The planet pendant, reminiscent of the moon, is cast from concrete. "Air bubbles are usually an artist's biggest enemy when casting jewelry" says Claudia Poepsel of Villa Sorgenfrei Schmuckmanufaktur, "It's fun to be in the position of deliberately adding them!" The crater landscape achieved by this is method is always unique, so each pendant will look slightly different. Real gold flakes are rubbed in the holes (and sealed) and match well with the gold plated short satellite necklace. The necklace is water resistant but it's advisable to remove it before extended exposure to water. 

Villa Sorgenfrei Schmuckmanufaktur's jewelry is designed and handmade in-house by Claudia and her team of "six girls and two guys" in the heart of Berlin. She particularly enjoys working with natural materials, such as dried flowers, blooms, leaves and grasses.
