Javier of DreamLuxe is a painter, designer, curator and teacher. He has been making art for many years. His formal education includes graphic design and architecture but his true education and creative inspiration comes from his daily commune with life, with nature, and his world travels. He started creating his hand painted silk scarves in 2000. He was looking for a way to transform his original paintings into luxurious wearable art. While traveling in the far east he discovered the technique of Batik and immediately realized that this was the medium he was looking for to take his artwork into the streets. He chose Batik as his medium because of its tradition and history, batik has been around for about a thousand years. His wearable art collection is inspired by world travel, art, nature and universal beauty and love.
