Description

Handmade Historic and Unique Hall Table. Must be seen up close to appreciate!  The wood in this beautiful table is taken from the floor joists of the circa 1800’s “Gale General Store” located in the center of Northborough, MA.  Habitat staff and volunteers are renovating the large and historic building to provide a home for two local families.  The joist, a log, with one side shaped flat and with square Tenon joists on each end, was created using only hand tools used during the 1800’s.

In the building’s 200 year history, she has served as a general store, post office, stage coach stop, social club and more recently housing.  The building is a real survivor, having withstood a major fire in 1871.  Now, with your winning bid, you will own a piece of this history.

This table is designed and built by “Regular Volunteers” – a group of volunteers that has given selflessly of its time and talent for several years.  They have helped to build countless affordable homes for local families on behalf of Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester.
