This photo, "Otter Pup at Humboldt Bay Rescue" is aptly named because it captures a moment of reflection of the otter pup at the Humboldt Bay Refuge.  This photo with frame measures 11" x 15" and has anti-glare glass.

Vetter Photo Frames is a family business located in Humboldt County, CA.  All of their frames are made from re-purposed redwood.  Each project is, therefore, one of a kind. Their redwood comes from homes, businesses, fences and Humboldt Bay.  The wood recovered from the bay is called "picklewood."  Picklewood takes on a blackened look from the salt water.  Some of the wood dates back to 1919, the age of their home.  Colors vary by age and type of redwood.  Heartwood, old growth, and second growth give the projects their unique look.

Frames are made by Ron and Holly Vetter.  They spline each frame to ensure it lasts for generations.  Each frame is finished with a mixture of boiled linseed oil and gum turpentine.  They also have glass to protect the photo.
