"Inspiration for this painting came from the love of this old lighthouse and houses from the 1800's. Storms this year were especially hard, and the ocean flooded homes on Sandy Neck several times.I just feel it is a fragile, precious place. Nothing seems safe from the onslaught of Mother Nature."

Inn 1994, Susan was elected a Copley Artist by the Copley Society on Newbury Street in Boston. She has received many awards over the years and is represented by several galleries in New England, Washington, D.C. and Florida.
