This painting was inspired by three gentlemen in conversation at a diner on Main Street in Hyannis. I found out from the waitress that they had been meeting there every week for decades. What a wonderful scene of community at a micro level. I imagined the pearls of wisdom uttered over the years and the stories they could tell.
