Shawn Nelson Dahlstrom has lived and worked on Cape Cod since 1973. Her education includes a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and a BS from Boston University. Shawn states simply, “I paint from life: landscape, the human figure, or still life. The subjects provide the basis to explore life’s mysteries and connection through the use of abstract color forms.” Her paintings have been exhibited at the Yale Creative Art Workshop; the Salmagundi Club, NY; Duxbury Art Museum; the Boston State House; the Copley Society; Provincetown Art Association; Cape Cod Museum of Art; Chatham Creative Art Center and Cape Cod Art Association.
