Steve is committed to painting in the ‘plein air’ tradition, calling his style “painterly realism.” A Paier College of Art graduate and year-round Cape resident since 1981, Kennedy’s work has won numerous awards and is in many public and private collections, including the permanent collection of Cape Cod Museum of Art, Cahoon Museum of American Art, New Haven Paint and Clay Club, Albany Institute of History and Art and Seaman’s Bank. He’s represented by Kiley Court Gallery, Provincetown; Left Bank Gallery, Wellfleet; Art Essex Gallery and the Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport, CT. He is a member of the Cape Cod Plein Air Painters, the Chatham Arts Center and NSAA, Gloucester, MA.
