Climbing on a rope requires two people: a climber and a person on the ground managing the ropes, called a belayer. This one-hour class will teach you and a friend the basics of belaying and climbing at any Planet Granite location (San Francisco, CA; Belmont, CA; Sunnyvale, CA; and Portland, OR). It's the quickest way to start climbing the walls and includes a day pass and gear rental - so you can continue to practice what you've learned and climb for the rest of the day! Each lesson is personal: only 4 people are allowed in any class, so that you can get the personal attention you need from the instructor. Or, get in some parent-child bonding time with a Parent and Child Belay Lesson. These one-hour lessons teach parents how to 'manage the ropes' for their child, ages 14+.
