Joe Dennison's painting, Flag, is done in acrylic on canvas, measures approximately 16" X 20" and is as haunting as it is colorful. Joe Dennison is a local artist and although trained in theater at the University of Maryland, this successfully produced playwright is also a self-taught painter. He garners most of his paint supplies from his day job as a commercial painter. In 2004, City Paper named him "Baltimore's Best Playwright". He considers himself "a painter stuck in the body of a playwright!"
