Recycled Kittens: We are NOT used to any kittens here and do not take in kittens ever---except in emergency situations like these three were in. One of our staff stopped at a metal recycling bin on Main Street a few weeks back to recycle some metal and heard kittens crying. She called on our staff to come help her and found them in a metal pipe with both ends closed over with wire so they couldn't get out. Someone wanted them to just get crushed when the truck came to pick them up. It took them awhile to get the pipe bent and the kittens out and rescued. They are pretty lucky little ones and it was truly meant that one of my staff was 'recycling' that morning. An hour after their rescue the truck picked up the big container of metal and they would have been simply crushed. The recycling group wouldn't have paid any attention and would not have heard them crying... so we are blessed with 3 little kittens. They've had their series of shots and will be altered before finding them homes. Leroy Jethro, Zina and Dinozzo are their names.
