Description

OMG wants your winning bid to go to treats (and Cheese Whiz) and canned food for his friends at R. Hollow. Here is OMG's story:

Old Man Grey (OMG) is an ~ 8 year old male who has lived on the rough streets of South Philadelphia all his life.  Approximately 5 years, I purchased my home and began caring for a colony of neglected cats.  We had a very good run --  houses were built, TNR and medical care was provided and clean feeding stations were erected.  In total, I was caring for over 20 cats.  Those were good days!
In 2015, a neighbor killed 15 cats and an unknown number of raccoon, opossum and birds using rodenticide.   The deaths sparked my campaign #justiceforbubba.  I have worked tirelessly for over a year to bring animal cruelty awareness and justice for  animals that lost their lives.  Some time after the deaths, OMG began reappearing at the colony!  Prior to that, I thought only 1 kitten had survived (details attached).  This made me very happy.
In recent weeks, OMG has been showing signs of injury and fatigue.  On 16JAN, he decided to trust me and allowed me to pick him up in my arms and bring him inside.  It was a bittersweet moment for me.  I was so honored to have his trust, but know it came with a price -- he was hurt.  This was a cat that eluded TNR traps and vet care attempts for years; a very cautious tomcat who was responsible for siring many kittens I ultimately ended up sterilizing and rehoming and sometimes re-releasing.  He survived unthinkable abuse and death and somehow made it back to me.
OMG saw the vet this week and has tested positive for FIV.  At the time of his visit, we identified a fractured leg that has healed incorrectly, a mouth of broken and rotted teeth, crumpled ears and a belly full of worms.  He is having a full dental, ear cleaning, groom, neuter and shots today.  His new life is about to begin; and so does my quest to find him the perfect place to live out his life.  He has known little love until now, but is learning to trust more every day.  He enjoys the massages I give him to release the discomfort from his months of weight re-distribution (from his fracture), warm fresh chicken, wet food, and a lot of head rubs.  His purr is unlike any I have ever heard.  Michelle sent him to Rustic Hollow and his purrsonalilty has blossomed. He is definitely food responsive. So, he says..... please bid some $$$ for me.
