"The County or State Fair is one of rural America's most cherished institutions where neighbors often meet for some friendly competition. For some, the best part of the Fair is the tractor pull that's based on good-natured rivalry between those brand loyal to John Deere, Farmall or International."
The two prints included here are: "The Rematch" and "Bragging Rights.

Dave Barnhouse is a painter of Americana and a self-described “country boy” who grew up in small towns and has no intention of leaving their environs either physically or emotionally. “I'm an artist who wants to make people feel as if they were back home on a Friday evening, so they can experience the warmth of a cozy fire and smell the homemade bread and cookies coming from the oven,” he says.

Growing up in small towns in Ohio, Dave Barnhouse has never forgotten the values learned in his youth. His art, prints and posters of Friday night cruising, tractor pulls and main street businesses remind us of simpler days in our past.

Dave Barnhouse captures every detail in his softly lit scenes. Whatever the subject, Barnhouse takes us on a short journey "home". Relax and enjoy the trip .
