Richard M. Sherman is one-half of the Academay Award-winning Sherman Brothers songwriting team, responsible for more motion picture musical song scores than any other songwriting team in history, and he also happens to be the grandfather of a Samohi Choir Sophomore! 

The Sherman Brothers' musical scores include Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Aristocats, to name just a few.  They won Oscars for Best Original Song in 1965 for Chim Chim Cher-ee from Mary Poppins, and in 1969 for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

This originally-autographed page of sheet music from the beloved Mary Poppins song "Let's Go Fly a Kite" was signed by Richard M. Sherman just for our Sweet Serenade auction, and hand delivered by his daughter.
