Double-Sided Mobile Magnetic Whiteboard
This white board will be used by our transition office as part of our Work-Based Learning Program. The whiteboard will list the on- and off-site jobs for the day and what students are working, where.

About Our Work-Based Learning Program:

To prepare our students for success in the workforce, high school students are offered a series of internship placements on campus and/or off campus in the community. These real-world work-based learning experiences help students develop transferable job skills, appropriate work behaviors, and confidence in their ability to be valuable employees in the future. Students participate in these experiences once they are enrolled in the high school program, while concurrently receiving training in academic, vocational, and life skills classes. Internship experiences in the community are provided through partnerships developed with many local businesses and organizations.

Through internship experiences, students learn important work-related values and skills such as punctuality, responsibility, appropriate interactions with employers and customers, and other job skills which will help them obtain and maintain jobs as adults. Students work toward functioning independently in a work environment with supports from trained and experienced SES job coaches.
