14 gauge steel wire is padded with foam rubber tubing, then wrapped in black faux-silk, then wrapped again w/ "champagne" color gold/silver glitter ribbon; there's a small black lobster clasp at the end of the spiral where either the pearl or crystal "dangles" (both are included) - and this is attached to a black faux-silk & black ruched tulle-covered round sinamay straw fascinator base, which has elastic loops inside that a clear plastic headband fits through - so it can be worn on either the right or left side of one's head.
