Clouds Rest’s goal is to produce wine of optimal quality. Pinot Noir is the heart and soul of this estate and all of the grapes are grown “au domaine” on Sonoma Mountain within the Sonoma Coast appellation.
The 2013 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, Femme Fatale Estate Grown received 92 Points from the Wine Advocate
The wine is pale to medium ruby in color and leads with some fragrant stemmy notes, followed by a core of warm cranberries, kirsch and underbrush plus a waft of faded roses. The elegant, fresh, medium-bodied palate gives wonderful intensity, with the stem inclusion marrying beautifully with the red berry preserves, framed by chewy tannins finishing with an herbal lift.
