This is a peek out at Grand Lake from one of the campsites at Achray in Algonquin Park.

Kathy M. Haycock began to paint in oils in 1998 after many years as a fiber artist and tapestry weaver. Now a dedicated plein air painter, the award winning artist cites the major influence of her father, Arctic artist Maurice Haycock, and his long time painting partner A.Y. Jackson, in her work.  Though largely self-taught, Kathy continues to take workshops from artists she admires, including Dennis Cliff (1999), Charles Spratt (2005), Doris McCarthy (2006), Lucy Manley (2008) Ron Rencher (2012) and Sheila Davis (2017).
