Captain Rob Fordyce is a professional saltwater guide with over 30 years of experience guiding anglers for big tarpon as well as permit, bonefish, snook and many other saltwater gamefish.  Nominated in 2014, as one of the top “50” fishing captains in the world, Rob has competed and placed as a top three finisher, in more than 100 tournaments fished around the globe. Rob has also produced, hosted, or co-hosted more than 100 outdoor television episodes.

He grew up fishing in South Florida and the Everglades and won a Master Angler Award while still in high school. Widely regarded as one of the best light tackle and fly-fishing guides in the Florida Keys, he has won or placed among the top three finishers in more than 100 tournaments he has fished during his career. Including, the prestigious Gold Cup Tarpon Fly Fishing Tournament, the Outback Golden Fly, the Don Hawley Invitational Tarpon Release Tournament, and the Yamaha Outboards Women’s World Tarpon Fly Championship. Rob is the ONLY guide to have won all four major Fly Tarpon Tournaments in the 50-year history they carry. Rob has made appearances as a guide in saltwater fishing shows, including Flip Pallot’s Walker’s Cay Chronicles, and the Spanish Fly with Jose Wejebe. Rob guides on average over 300 days a year and still finds time to give back to the saltwater community, presenting seminars on saltwater fishing to sportsmans clubs and sharing his knowledge throughout the entire industry.
