Amiata is only about 1.5 hours north of Manciano and there is GREAT skiing there with several slope selections. For summer visitors, there is a sandy beach about 35 minutes away with restaurants, beach chairs and umbrellas. Within less than an hours’ drive, you have access to the coast, the neighboring hill towns of Pitigliano, Sovana and Sorano, the thermal spas in Saturnia where there is a natural hot water sulfur spring, and scores of wineries. There is no better way to experience the rare beauty of Italy than to settle into a casa in a small hilltop village!
