2007 Jean Vesselle Grand Cru Brut Millésime Prestige
If you love Champagne, and white Burgundy, this blend of about 65% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay is going to floor you. It has a wonderfully, toasty, leesy aroma, lemon custard, and a rich, inviting mouthfeel that is pure silk.
Let's review: 9 (NINE!) years on the lees in the bottle before disgorgement. 100% Grand Cru rated fruit, from the very best of that year's harvest. A meticulous grower with low yields. This is simply spectacular vintage Champagne for the price. Try at least one bottle in your mixed case to see what we're talking about. We won't stop you from paying more for a big name, but do you need to?
