19" x 23" x 1.5"
Aerial views of sights we see daily can take on very different looks, sometimes more or less colorful, artistic, sometimes geometric or panoramic and visually pleasing. Such was the case of the street in this photograph which displayed a dizzying swirl of crack seals bounded by a fence and trees. It is a color photograph which uses the black and white contrast of a snowy winter background and an asphalt road.
William D. Gibson holds a B.A. from Brown University. Upon retirement, he added the pursuit of painting in acrylics & writing novels to his activities. He recently added photography to his artistic pursuits as a drone pilot of a Mavic Pro. This technological advancement serves as a flying camera to enable aerial views not usually seen. He is self-taught and a member of the Taunton Art Association and the AAM.
