Description

Indigo dyed cotton shibori

22" x 12" x 0.75"

Shibori is a Japanese technique where fabric is hand sewn and tightly pulled together to create resist areas when placed in an indigo dye bath. After the dyeing process, the threads are removed to reveal the color and patterns created.

Her work ranges from simple woven pieces to elaborate, hand embellished jacquard panels. Her work is inspired by nature, elements of fantasy & modern themes.
