"Lady in Black" was inspired in part by a desire to bring something positive into the artist's work. Susan's interests have previously driven her to depict the impact of humans on nature rather than the beauty found in nature itself. The work of some very talented artist friends influenced her to explore the other side.
Susan Gardiner Daum, an avid Attleboro photographer, has worked part-time in wedding photography while working full-time as a printed circuit board designer. The love of black & white imagery led her into fine art, where her work has been juried into the Wickford Art Association, the South County Art Museum, the Providence Center for Photographic Arts and the AAM. For the last year, she has been working on creating her Heart to Hand photography project.
