25" x 22" 1.5"

"Building a History" is an acrylic and mixed media artwork on stretched canvas.  As the name suggests, it has many layers and represents a struggle to complete.  After many incarnations and layers of paint, this is the result.  This piece was inspired from a class taught by Teresa Girard.

Dianne E. Miller is a mixed media artist living in Lincoln, RI.  Her work takes many forms ranging from abstracts, photography, assemblage, painting and mixed media. After being a self-taught artist for many years, Dianne received a certificate in drawing and painting from the RISD in 2011. Her art has won numerous awards in RI & MA.  She maintains a studio at Mad Dog Artists Studios in Pawtucket, RI.
