Description

Limited Edition Serigraph Print Textile

44" x 76"

"ISCHIA 65, Champs-Elys’ees, Paris" (Certificate of Authenticity on back) is a Limited-Edition Serigraph Print Textile Wall Hanging Tapestry by Nicola Simbari (Italian 1927-2012). The artwork is signed "Simbari" on the C.O.A. attached to verso of piece. This is a hand-painted original Serigraph on woven wool fabric rendered/circa 1971.

Nicola Simbari (1927 -- 2012) was an Italian painter who was born in Calabria, Italy. His family moved to Rome when he was young and by age 13, he decided to study art and enrolled at the Accademia delle Belle Arti. Simbari is considered to be Italy's most important modern artist. Using stunning colors and favoring brilliant tones, he paints with a palette knife and achieves great depth with this technique. Simbari's paintings are full of light and energy.
