Description

Acrylic

"City Obscura" was created by the artist in 2017. Using metallic acrylics, strong brush strokes and obscured building outlines, Ms. West was inspired by the reflective light, motion, and colors observed in the city's skyline during a storm at sunset. This multi-layered abstract work was created over a period of several months from memories, photographs, and emotions.

Christine West is a self-taught artist who began painting in 2015 in an open studio/free-form environment.  She works in acrylics and is inspired by mid-century design, cityscapes, and abstract expression. Christine is currently exhibiting work at the 10th Annual Juried Show at Amazing Things Art Center in Framingham, MA.  Her work has also shown at the AAM and Fountain Street Gallery.
