No holiday was complete without my mother’s cheesecake, a legendary sour-cream-topped treat that we all demolished at Christmas. This double recipe will feed about 25 people as it’s very rich. Hers was so good that when I lived in New York, the famous New York cheesecake in every deli tasted waxy. Sorry, Big Apple.
